My path into real estate began in the mortgage industry. For more than a decade, I worked in mortgage underwriting and secondary mortgage operations, learning how lending guidelines, financing, and risk affect homeownership.
I saw how overwhelming the process could feel. Families needed someone to explain their options and advocate for their interests. That experience led me to real estate and, eventually, to establish Express Realty.
Today, I combine that financial perspective with nearly two decades of residential real estate experience. We talk about what a decision means for your budget, your plans, and your life—not simply how to get to closing.

I have taught Home Stretch homebuyer education and provide workshops on homeownership and financial literacy. My teaching covers credit readiness, budgeting, building equity, investing, and foreclosure prevention. I want people to leave with knowledge they can use, whether they are ready to make a move or preparing for the future.
My own learning continues, too. My mortgage background and specialized real estate education inform the guidance I share with clients.

As the founder of Tumaini Education, a Minnesota nonprofit, I help connect sponsors with academically talented students in Kenya who need financial assistance to continue their education.
